Setup
If you have a Pro account you have the options of using a Starter Site template, uploading your own design, or having nimbit build a site for you.

Starter sites-

In your account, click the My Sites tab. Click the 'templates' link and scroll through the available designs. Click the round radio button next to the design and color scheme you want, then click the 'next' button.

You can change your Starter Site design at any time. Starter Sites come with the basic nimbit content tools already installed. The link tool and the OMT can be installed after the template is set up.

IMPORTANT-: If you have a custom site already in place, DO NOT, select a template. The new design will overwrite your existing site as soon as it is selected and the 'next' button is clicked, and cannot be undone.

Upload your own-

If you have a site designed on your computer or that is being hosted somewhere else, you can transfer it into your nimbit account via an ftp program. Ftp programs are available as free downloads when you run an Internet search.

Once you have downloaded the program and installed it you must enter the ftp info for your nimbit site as follows:

1.FTP Host: your website name. Do not include the “http://www.”. For example “nimbit.com”, not “http://www.nimbit.com”

Directory: this is also your website name without “http://www.”

Login/User: your account user name. Use only the first 8 characters. If your user name is shorter than 8, use the whole thing.

Password: The same as your account password unless you have changed it since signing up. If your password does not work, log in to your account. Under 'my account/password' you canb assign a new ftp password.

When you have connected to our server, drag all of your website files INTO your website folder, not just below it.

For your website to display, the home page should be named 'index', with an extension of .html, .htm or .php. If you purchased a domain name through nimbit, it will already be pointed in the right direction. If purchased elsewhere, you will have to log in with your registrar and point the domain to us.

For nimbit hosted sites, the domain settings are:

ns1.nimbit.com

ns2.nimbit.com

For ascapwebtools sites:

ns1.trilbysystems.com

ns2.trilbysystems.com

IMPORTANT: openning a hosting account does not automatically close your old hosting account.You must contact the old host to close after the site has gone live through nimbit. Emails do not transfer over. New mailboxes must be established in your new account. Also, domains purchased through other registrars must be renewed and maintained through that registrar. Nimbit cannot take administrative control over domains not purchased through us.

Nimbit built sites-

We also offer two more options for site building should the first two not meet your needs.

Premium templates are pre-made , high quality templates you can choose from a list. We will download the template, customize it to your needs and load it into your account. You can find out more under the MySites/Services section of your dashboard.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT purchase the template directly unless you are familiar with html and css. We purchase the template from a third party, assemble and install it for you. If you purchase the template yourself, we may have to purchase it again and charge the full installation price which will cost you more in the long run.

The second option is a fully custom site. This is typically reserved for large record labels as the price is considerably higher than the other options. However, a fully custom site offers you a unique site unlike anyone else's with the potential for more features than a Premium template.
